Description
The datas were recorded on computer with other students present, The project "Approaching the skills of writing" focuses aspects of online writing among students in 4th and 5th grade. The project is part of a major project, named the "Hå County project". The Hå-county project is a cooperation between Hå-county and the National Centre for Reading Education and Research. The students are told that they will see a picture series of 8 pictures, called the Space story (see http://www.scriptlog.net/download/SpaceStory.jpg), and they are asked to write a space adventure based on these pictures. They see one picture at the time, and they decide when to go on to the next picture. There is no time limit., Free access, This media file is a ScriptLog recording of on-line writing. With ScriptLog it is possible to perform a wide range of analysis on the base of the present media file. Some examples of these analysis is represented in the written resoruces containing *Final.txt and *Statistics.txt, The written resource is a text file generated by the analysis module of ScriptLog, Free access, The transcription is made by hand according to the Chat-standards, Free access, The resource marked CHAT is a transcription of the end product of the student's writing task. The transcription is maintained according to the CHAT format and allows the researcher to run the most central CLAN-analysis, The written resource is generated by an automatic analysis from the ScriptLog file, Free access, This writtten resource is the final edited text in the student's writing task. The resource represents a tratitional representation of writing: the end product. The resource is identical with the output of the analysis "final edited text" in ScriptLog, The written resource contains statistical information about the ScriptLog-recording (media file). The analysis is processed automatically by the analysis module of ScriptLog, Free access, This resource is the output 'linear text' of the analysis module in ScriptLog. The analysis displays how the text is written in a linear sequence, with pauses and editings. In this output the pause-criterion is set to 5 seconds., The resources are available as demonstration only.
