Batek

Endicott Collection
The Batek are an indigenous minority living in the states of Kelantan, Pahang, and Terengganu in Peninsular Malaysia. This collection consists of audio recordings of Batek music and stories, recorded between 1971 and 1990, and video recordings of Batek activities, recorded in 1990.
Lye Collection
Research materials collected from 1995 to the present in the Tembeling and Kecau River systems of Pahang, Malaysia. Research is ongoing.
Rudge Collection
Recordings in this collection were made in the Kecau and Tembeling watersheds in Pahang State, Peninsular Malaysia, during PhD research with Batek people. The focus of the research was anthropological and ethnomusicological. The fieldwork was funded by the Leverhulme Trust Hunter-Gatherer Resilience Project, grant RP2011-R-045, administered by University College London, and by the Evans Fund at the University of Cambridge.
